Dr. Bidlingmaier graduated from Medical School at Ludwig Maximilian’s University Munich in 2000. He wrote his thesis on inflammatory bowel disease in the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and started his training in pediatrics at Dr. von Hauner’s Children’s University Hospital (director: Prof. Dr. Dr. Christoph Klein). Since 2003 he works in the department of pediatric hemostasis and thrombosis (head: Priv.-Doz. Dr. Karin Kurnik). He is a board certified pediatrician since 2007 and hemostasis specialist since 2009. In 2010 he was appointed consultant in general paediatrics and became assistant professor in 2013 for his work on perioperative coagulation management in children. In 2014 he was assigned head of the department of general pediatrics and outpatient care.
Dr. Bidlingmaier is a member of a variety of national and international organisations (DGKJ, DHG, GTH, EAHAD, WFH, ISTH) and serves as secretary for the pediatric commitee of the german society of thrombosis and hemostasis research (GTH) since 2004. He is also a member of national and international working parties and research groups.
His research interests include bleeding scores and perioperative care as well as pediatric thrombosis and hemophilia care.
