AREAS OF RESEARCH
  1. Studying platelet function and interactions with vascular compartments under flow conditions, including testing the response to anti-platelet drugs.
  2. Studying the role of platelets and platelet derived microparticles in angiogenesis and tumor  biology.
PUBLICATIONS
Dr. Varon published over than 100 original publications in leading journals as well as many chapters in textbooks in the field of hematology and vascular biology.
Dr. Varon is frequently invited as a guest speaker for international conferences in the field of thrombosis & hemostasis and vascular biology.
PATENTS
Dr. Varon holds several patents of the Cone and Plate(let) Analyzer –the CPA - a method and a system for testing platelet function under flow conditions.
