Dr. Lu-Ming Sun graduated in 1994 and had her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital. From 2006 to 2009, she was awarded a prestigious international scholarship from the University of Ottawa and had three-year Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship training there.  Her training included advanced fetal ultrasound, invasive procedures, genetics, neonatology,pediatric cardiology, maternal complication during the pregnancy and research training in perinatal epidemiology. She spent half a year of her elective time at Mt Sinai hospital in Toronto gaining further experience in advance Doppler for placental insufficiency and fetal therapy. She also did extra training in fetal echo at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and in Ottawa.
