John Richert is Chair, and a Professor, of the Department of Microbiology & Immunology. He is also a member of the Center for the Study of Sex Differences in Health, Aging and Disease (CSD) at GU, the Center for Infectious Disease (CID) at GU, and the Growth Regulation of Cancer Program at the Lombardi Cancer Center. He is a neuroimmunologist with the aim of eventually developing new therapies for multiple sclerosis, he is an expert on the disease and is studying immunopathological mechanisms in MS and also using differential display to identify genes that are abnormally expressed in immune cells of patients.
